It’s time for your children to head back to school! The National Association of Professional Organizers in Michigan wants to share some tips to help your child select a school bag this year.
• School Bag Type & Size – Does your child prefer a back pack or a school bag with a shoulder strap? Test the school bag while you’re in the store to make sure your child is comfortable carrying it with a few items inside. Also, when buying a school bag, consider the size of your child in relation to the size of the school bag. Younger students tend to need a smaller bag with fewer pockets. Older students often need larger and sturdier school bags to transport text books to and from school.
• School Bag Usage – Consider the potential uses for the school bag. Will the school bag be used for only school homework, or will it also be used for after-school sports equipment or technology storage? Or, your child may prefer using two smaller bags to keep school stuff separate from after-school stuff.
Selecting a new school bag for your children can be fun. For additional organizing tips visit http://www.napomichigan.com/.
